💬 Frequently Asked Questions in Foster City, CA
Why is my Genie screw-drive opener making a loud grinding noise?
The most common culprit is a stripped trolley carriage. The steel screw strips the softer carriage teeth over time to protect the motor.
What type of lubricant should be used on a Genie screw drive?
Only use genuine Genie screw-drive lubricant (Lubriplate Aero). Never apply regular WD-40 or heavy axle grease, which attracts grit.
Can you program my wireless Genie Intellicode keypad?
Yes, we program all generations of Genie Intellicode remotes, wireless exterior keypads, and Aladdin Connect smart modules.
Do you repair older Genie TriloG and ReliaG models?
Yes, our technicians carry capacitors, relays, and boards for legacy and modern Genie systems.
Are your garage door openers compliant with California SB 969 battery backup requirements in Foster City?
Yes, 100%. Under California Senate Bill 969, all newly installed residential garage door openers in California must include a functional battery backup system to guarantee emergency vehicle egress during power outages or wildfire evacuations. All our installations in Foster City are fully compliant.
